- 1 KG Potatoes.
- Vegetable oil for deep frying.
▢ STEP 1
Wash the potatoes to remove all the dirt. Peel the potatoes and cut into an allumette ( 3mm x 3mm and 5cm long) and keep the cut potatoes into the deep bowl full of cold water and leave it to soak for about 4 hours to remove all the starch from the potatoes.

After 4 hours, drain all the water from the bowl and potatoes and dry all the potatoes with the kitchen towel and let them dry for about 30 minutes.

To make the potatoes crispier you can add some cornstarch and toss to spread and coat well.

Now, take a deep bottom pan. Add oil (3rd full) and heat at 145 C, fry the French fries in 2 portions for about 5 minutes until golden.
▢ STEP 5
Finally, Drain all the oils in a kitchen towel. Fry the French fries again in 2 portions for about 2 minutes until golden. Perfect French fries should be crisp from the outside and fluffy from the inside. Now, again drain all the oils in a kitchen towel and keep it in a bowl. Sprinkle the sea salt to the French fries and toss well. Your homemade French fries are ready to serve/eat.
